As the world’s largest hydrogen producer and consumer, China has incorporated hydrogen-based decarbonization solutions into its latest national development strategy. The approach stems mainly from the fact that less than 0.1% of the hydrogen China produces comes from renewable sources of energy. Hydrogen is being applied to hard-to-electrify sectors and China presents significant opportunities in the green hydrogen space.
